Flood Chronology
A copy of the book Floods
in South Australia: 1836-2005 that accompanies this DVD is available
below in PDF format. Using the various tools on the DVD to extract flood
records of interest, researchers may want to refer to the book-based summary
of the flood event. This connection between the electronic databases of the
DVD and the book entries is best done by the date of the event.
Thus, if a query on
the electronic database cites a flood article dated, say 12 November 1965,
then the book will contain a short summary of all articles relating to that
flood event. To find this summary, the researcher can Jump through the PDF
file to the required date, or use the Find tool (binocular icon) search
capabilities of their word processor.
